Each year, every City Improvement District (CID) is required to submit a budget to the of Cape Town in line with its approved Business Plan, as adopted by its members at an Annual General Meeting (AGM) or Members’ Meeting.

For the 2025/26 financial year, all budgets submitted by existing CIDs, including Welgemoed CID, were approved in accordance with this process and have been included in the City’s overall budget. Welgemoed CID was also among sixteen CIDs that applied for a new five year term, which has now been formally approved by Council.

We encourage all Welgemoed residents to get involved in the various initiatives we undertake on behalf of our members. Our guiding promise remains: “A Better Welgemoed for All.”
