Welgemoed CID invites property owners to become members and take part in decisions that help shape the future of our neighbourhood. WCID works to maintain and improve Welgemoed through public safety, cleaning, greening and community initiatives. Membership gives property owners a formal voice in the organisation, including voting rights at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Not sure whether your property falls within the WCID boundary? View the WCID sector map here to check whether your property is located within one of the WCID sectors. Click Here

All residents and property owners are welcome to attend the AGM and participate in discussions. However, only registered WCID members may vote.

 Who can become a member?

Registered property owners within the WCID boundary who pay the additional CID rate may apply for membership.

  • Individual owners: The applicant must be the registered property owner.
  • Joint owners: One membership is permitted per property.
  • Companies and trusts: Applicants must provide proof of their authority to represent the property-owning entity.

Property owners are not automatically members of WCID. Existing members do not need to reapply.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Friday 30th October – Director nominations close
  • Friday 30th October – Membership applications close

Property owners wishing to vote must submit their membership applications before Friday 30th October. Members who cannot attend may appoint a proxy in accordance with WCID’s Memorandum of Incorporation.
