Dear Welgemoed residents,

In light of recent discussions on social media, the Welgemoed CID Board would like to provide clarity on the current composition of the Welgemoed CID NPC Board of Directors, as well as the process for director elections as outlined in the Welgemoed CID Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI), which will be followed at the upcoming AGM on 04 November 2025.

Current Welgemoed CID Board of Directors:

• Anika Nell – Chairperson (Co-opted August 2025 effective to 4 November 2025, available for re-election)
• Renaldo Lorio – Deputy Chairperson (Elected 2020 & re-elected 2024)
• Francois Laurence – Director (Elected 2020 & re-elected 2024)
• Hessel Turkstra – Director (Elected 2022 – Resigning at 2025 AGM, available for re-election)
• Abie Fortuin – Director (Elected 2022 – Resigning at 2025 AGM, available for re-election)

Note:

Mr. Arndt Mittendorf serves as the WCID Operations Manager and is not a Board member. He attends Board meetings in his operational capacity.

As per the WCID MOI:

• At least one-third of the longest-serving directors must resign at each AGM and may make themselves available for re-election.
• A minimum of three (3) directors must be elected at any time.
• Only valid Welgemoed CID members may be nominated and elected as WCID directors.
