Have Your Say on the City of Cape Town’s 2026/27 Budget
The City of Cape Town has opened its public participation process for the 2026/27 draft budget, giving residents the opportunity to review and provide input on how resources are allocated across the city. As part of this process, the City will be hosting Sub-council and Ward-based meetings, where the draft budget will be presented in a clear and simplified format.
Why This Matters
The City’s budget directly impacts service delivery, infrastructure investment, and development priorities in areas such as Welgemoed. These meetings provide residents with an opportunity to:
- Understand planned developments and priorities in their area
- Ask questions and engage with City representatives
- Share feedback and submit comments on the proposed budget
