The Welgemoed CID board invites WCID members in good standing to nominate candidates for directorship, to be elected at our upcoming AGM on 4 November 2025 (formal invitation with agenda to follow). We are looking for individuals whom would like to help shape Welgemoed’s future.

 Eligibility & Vetting Criteria

To ensure the board remains effective, transparent, and accountable, all nominees must meet the following requirements:

• Be a registered member of Welgemoed Community Improvement Drive NPC
• Municipal accounts should not in arrears
• Be willing to undergo a criminal record check
• Ideally have prior director or leadership experience
• Demonstrate the skills and commitment to contribute to one or more Welgemoed CID portfolios

 Portfolios Available

• Safety & Security – Guide our proactive security strategy, ensuring Welgemoed remains safe through advanced surveillance, rapid response, and integrated communication.
• Cleaning & Maintenance – Oversee initiatives that keep our suburb clean and well-maintained, protecting Welgemoed’s appeal and livability.
• Greening & Environmental Care – Drive projects that enhance Welgemoed’s public spaces, and create multi-generational green areas for community use.
• Social Responsibility – Strengthen partnerships with welfare organisations and lead programmes that support vulnerable groups, building a caring and compassionate community.
• Community Engagement & Communication – Shape resident communication and events that foster strong neighborhood ties, ensuring every voice is heard and involved.
