What started in a Welgemoed driveway has grown into one of the suburb’s favourite community days. Now in its fifth year at Imhoff Park, the Welgemoed Straatwinkel returns on Saturday, 10 October, bringing neighbours, families, local businesses and young entrepreneurs together for a day in the park. The purpose of Straatwinkel remains much the same. It’s a day for Welgemoed to come together, giving local stallholders a place to trade, creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs. Last year’s event welcomed an estimated 5,000 visitors and more than 100 stalls.

Park and Catch the Shuttle

With thousands of visitors expected parking around Imhoff Park can become busy and place additional pressure on surrounding residential streets. This year, Fidelity ADT will provide a shuttle service between the Welgemoed NG Church and Welgemoed Pre-Primary, conveniently located next to the Lower Park entrance.  Leave your details with Fidelity ADT at either shuttle point and you’ll be entered into a draw for a hamper filled with products from Straatwinkel vendors. Winners will be announced on the day.
