Welgemoed Straatwinkel has always been about more than market stalls. It is a day when the neighbourhood comes together, to enjoy good food and music, catch up with friends, support local traders and give young entrepreneurs a chance to get involved. This year, a great group of local businesses and organisations is helping add even more to the day. We’d like to introduce our Zone Partners, Supporting Partners and Event Support Partners, thank them for getting behind Welgemoed Straatwinkel 2026, and share some of what they’ll be bringing to the day.
Our Zone Partners
Pam Golding Properties has supported Straatwinkel since its early days at Imhoff Park. This year, their social tent in the Upper Park will once again offer live music and wine, a relaxed place to meet up with friends and enjoy the atmosphere. See what Pam Golding has on offer Here.
Kainos Properties will help celebrate Welgemoed’s 70th year with a display looking back at the history of our neighbourhood, a chance to see how Welgemoed has grown and changed over the years. They are also sponsoring the Lower Park social tent, where you can grab a G&T or beer and enjoy some live music. Find your next home with Kainos Properties Here
Zerocrete has regularly contributed to community upgrades in Welgemoed and is again part of Straatwinkel. The company transforms landfill-bound waste into sustainable construction materials, with some of its products already used locally and in their flagship property in Riebeek-Kasteel. Residents can see the products in action Here.
Seeff Properties is getting behind some of Straatwinkel’s youngest participants by sponsoring the Young Entrepreneurs Zone, providing welcome shade and support while the kids put their ideas to the test. Seeff is also running a garden competition, with the winner to be announced at Straatwinkel on 10 October. Residents wanting to enter their garden can get further details below.

Our Event Support Partners
Fidelity ADT will once again provide day and overnight security for Straatwinkel. This year, they are also helping make getting to the event easier with a Park, Ride and Join the Fun shuttle. Leave your car at NG Kerk Welgemoed, 15 Dias Street, and catch the shuttle to Welgemoed Pre-Primary, 64 Kommissaris Street.

Welgemoed CID plays a key facilitating role in Straatwinkel, working with the organising team and partners to help bring the event together.
