A new upgrade to the footpath at the Welgemoed Welcome Garden brings something a little different to the space. The decorative stepping stones, provided by long-time WCID supporter ZeroCrete, combine distinctive patterns and colours with a more sustainable approach to construction.

The pavers incorporate non-recyclable plastic and glass that might otherwise have gone to landfill, while 60% of the traditional cement is replaced with a lower-carbon alternative. The result is an attractive, functional footpath that gives waste materials a useful second life.

ZeroCrete has supported improvements to Welgemoed’s public spaces on several occasions, including providing outdoor furniture for Sluysken Park and Goewerneur Park. Thank you to the ZeroCrete team for their continued support and for adding another beautiful and sustainable feature to Welgemoed’s Welcome Garden.
