Welgemoed CID is a caring community, and we believe in supporting those in need of support due to whatever unfortunate situation befalls them. Our Social Responsibility Portfolio exists to uplift individuals and organisations facing difficult circumstances, and we do this through meaningful partnerships with groups rooted in and around Welgemoed.
One of these valued partners is Magdalena Home, a safe haven for women in crisis. On Tuesday, 25th November 2025, the WCID proudly supported a special outreach initiative hosted alongside the NG Kerk Welgemoed.
Below is the heartfelt feedback shared by the team who attended:
Terugvoer van die Span
“Op Dinsdag 25 November 2025 het ’n paar Welgemoed-inwoners in samewerking met die NGK Welgemoed ’n uitreik na Magdalena Huis in Boston gedoen. Daar is tans 17 dames in die program.
Ons is hartlik ontvang met sang deur die dames. Daar is heerlik gesels en gelag voordat ons met die program begin het. Hierdie keer is daar gefokus op die tema ‘I am enough’. Ons het gedagtes rondom die tema uitgeruil en daarna armbandjies gemaak met “words of affirmation”.
Die oggend het ook ’n doekvou-kompetisie, lucky draw en blitsvrae sessie ingesluit. Aan die einde het almal heerlike eetgoed en koeldrank geniet.
