WCID is pleased to confirm that the amended business plan for Term 2 has been approved by the City of Cape Town’s Spatial Planning and Environment Directorate. The approved documents are available on the WCID website and can be viewed Here under the WCID GOVERNANCE tab.

The amended business plan was presented and approved at the WCID AGM with strong support from members in attendance. Although not required in terms of Section 25 of the CID by-law process, the WCID Board elected to make the amended business plan available to the local community for additional comment following the AGM. This introduced a further layer of public participation beyond the standard requirements of the process, which was noted by the City.

During this additional comment period, 13 further formal objections were received from ratepayers, noting that only one objection could be submitted per property owner. This represents less than 1% of the total number of ratepayers. WCID would like to thank residents and property owners who participated in the process and contributed constructively throughout the amendment period.
