On 12 February, Welgemoed CID had the privilege of hosting a heartfelt outreach morning at Magdalena House, spending meaningful time with 23 women currently in the programme. The morning focused on connection, encouragement, and practical empowerment. Together, we made bracelets and bookmarks, shared conversation and laughter, and demonstrated how to fold and use cloth nappies, a simple but valuable skill for new mothers. Small moments of learning and creativity created space for confidence and community.

To add a celebratory touch, the ladies enjoyed cupcakes, cooldrinks, and a lucky draw. Each participant also received a backpack sponsored by WCID, thoughtfully filled with essential items made possible through the generosity of local residents.

It was a reminder that meaningful impact often happens in simple ways, through presence, care, and practical support. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed towards making the morning special. Our next outreach is planned for Term 2, and we look forward to continuing this journey of partnership and encouragement.
